Join us as we look back on the opening episode of the Fifth Doctor’s era, as Peter Davison makes his first full appearance as Doctor Who.

Listen out for wry observations, TARDIS talk, and thoughts about how the show compares with other episodes in the same run. James McLean and Brian Terranova are your hosts – why not get your DVD or streaming service ready and watch along with them?

Doctor Who Series 12 has finished – but what did we make of The Timeless Children? Despite leaks and spoilers aplenty, it managed to surprise. But does it offer a brand new direction for Doctor Who beyond the hodge-podge of ideas?

Christian Cawley and James McLean work it out.

We’re taking a break for a month – we’ll see you again around Easter!

Hot on the heels of part one, part 2 of the Doctor Who Series 12 opener, Spyfall, has just aired in the show’s usual Sunday evening slot.

This week, Christian Cawley, Brian A Terranova, and James McLean discuss the story in-depth, along with a surprising realisation. They consider elements of characterisation, as well as praise the revised approach. There’s also some discussion of the preceding episode, its memorable cliffhanger, and the performance of Sacha Dhawan as the latest incarnation of the Master.

PLUS: why was the sound quality so bad in portions of the last podKast? Christian explains how it had something to do with a pantomime (oh no it didn’t!). ALSO: just how long have we been doing this show?

Doctor Who is back with a bang and a twist with Skyfall, the first episode of a two part story kicking off Series 12. Christian Cawley and Gareth Kavanagh mull it over, with a bit of help from… you!

This podKast is a bit shorter than usual due to the limited schedule and time between the two episodes. However, we’re planning to reconvene with a bit more purpose and some in-depth discussion of the Spyfall story as a whole during the coming week.

In the meantime, hit play on this – and if you’re a regular on our Facebook page, listen out for a mention!

We’ll be honest: you’ve probably heard this podKast before. Whether it was the Doctor Who series 9 finale podKast, the series 8 finale podKast, or even The Time of the Doctor, what you’re about to hear will seem extremely familiar.

Just like The Doctor Falls.

But on the other hand, how else are you going to spend 80 minutes in the company of Christian Cawley, James McLean, and Brian Terranova? So, indulge us as we drill-down into the flaws of The Doctor Falls, while keeping a firm hand on the episode’s positives.

Join Christian Cawley and Brian Terranova as they take a look at World Enough and Time, the penultimate episode of Doctor Who Series 10. Will Bill survive? Have we finally understood time dilation? Will the Mondasian Cybermen ever fly? And just how soon did we recognise John Simm?

Click play to find out!

We couldn’t believe it ourselves, but today the BBC has confirmed the return of John Simm as the Master, the Doctor’s Time Lord enemy, to Doctor Who Series 10!

Join Christian and James as they discuss what this might mean for the series, how he might make his presence felt, and just what it means for Michelle Gomez’s Missy — who is also popping up this year!

Shownotes

James McLean and Brian A Terranova steer the podKast with a K back in time this week, as the adventure continues for the TARDIS travellers, fresh from the loss of Adric, as they arrive at Heathrow and find themselves tracking a lost Concorde…
