The PodKast: RTD’s Doctor Who Movie & Moments That Made Us Laugh

Russell T Davies

Russell T Davies would write a Doctor Who movie, we learnt this week – but should we let him? Christian Cawley, James McLean and Brian A Terranova are on hand to offer their thoughts on this and several other topics concerning the adventures of the Time Lord we know as the Doctor.

Also, look out for an update on Contradiction, the new interactive movie game starring recent podKast guests Rupert Booth and John Guilor, as well as Blake’s 7 star Paul Darrow, which is out now.

  1. There are lots of funny moment in BRAIN – most of which concern the interaction between the Doctor and Sarah.

“Keep calm, Sarah. Keep calm. Whatever you do keep…You are
    calm.”

“You thought I was dead, didn’t you? You’re always making that
    mistake.”

“If you’re going to sit there wallowing in self-pity,
    I’ll bite your nose.”

    1. You’re forgetting:

      SOLON: “Superb head.”
DOCTOR: “Thank you. I used to have an old gray model before this. Some people liked it.”
      SARAH: “I did.”

  2. You say you’re watching ‘Primeval’? SPOILERS: Series 3 is such a train wreck that the fourth series was effectively a reboot. You have been warned.

  3. Moments in Doctor Who that weren’t quite right….hmmmm….I’d say all of Let’s Kill Hitler, Love and Monsters, Voyage of The Damned, I could go on. Also, just on that scene from An Unearthly Child, I always took that moment where the Doctor is caught with the rock as a hint to his plan to get the people to overthrow their leader. It’s interesting how we often interpret things on Doctor Who differently to others, isn’t it?
