It’s been over two decades since we last saw Tony and Gary causing chaos in Men Behaving Badly. The iconic sitcom, which ran from 1992 to 1998, has left a lasting mark on British comedy. While a full-blown revival may be unlikely, fans of the show will be delighted to hear that Neil Morrissey and Martin Clunes are reuniting for a new travel series, Neil and Martin’s Bon Voyage.
The three-part series, airing on Gold in 2025, will see the two actors embark on a road trip through France. Neil Morrissey, who played the perpetually unlucky Tony, will serve as the tour guide, leading Martin Clunes, now more recognized for his role as Doc Martin, through the country he now calls home. From Normandy to the Alps, they’ll explore the beautiful landscapes, savor delicious food, and immerse themselves in local traditions.
While Neil and Martin’s Bon Voyage may not be a direct sequel to Men Behaving Badly, it promises to be a nostalgic journey for fans of the original show. Morrissey and Clunes have a long-standing friendship that dates back to their time as TV flatmates, and seeing them reunite for this new adventure should be fun. Says Morrissey: “It’s fantastic we have this golden opportunity to reunite so I can introduce my pal Martin to all the things I love so much about France, along with some Gallic treasures I’ve always wanted to see. I’ve fallen in love with this country, its glorious food, its delicious wine, and knowing Martin has an EU passport, I’m fairly certain he’ll be relocating here once I’ve finished with him.”
While I’m not typically a fan of travel shows that feature two people driving around, I’m making an exception for Neil and Martin’s Bon Voyage. The prospect of seeing Morrissey and Clunes back together is pretty exciting, and the show promises a glimpse into the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of France.
Look out for Neil Morrissey and Martin Clunes on their French adventure in 2025. Fingers crossed it will air in the winter months to keep our spirits up for hot weather…
