But top of the pile was a superb Dragon’s Den skit, with closely observed impersonations of Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne, Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden ripping to shreds the genius idea of Augcember – an extra month with a new Christmas, but sadly no consideration of where in the year this new month would appear by the nervous entrepreneurs.
Oh and of course who can forget Clive, the Pet Geordie?
The show ended with a spoken tribute to the late Geoffrey Perkins, which also included footage of the series producer taking part in a sketch and forgetting his lines.
