Doctor Who in World War 2 PLUS Torchwood Miracle Day

This week’s Kasterborous podKast (with a K) sees the return of editor Christian Cawley to the fold as he, Brian Terranova and James McLean discuss the new series of Torchwood, the synopsis of Let’s Kill Hitler and a general chat on Doctor Who stories set in World War 2.

With Brian as one of Kasterborous’ US-based members, we took him to task to discuss the first episode of Miracle Day, The New World; note that spoilers are present, so please listen with care.

In addition, we also brooched the question of the Let’s Kill Hitler plot synopsis, and extrapolated this into a nice chat about how Doctor Who has so far avoided World War Two on screen outside of The Curse of Fenric, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and Victory of the Daleks. With such a rich background with which to set stories against, has this been a mixed opportunity in the past?
