[singlepic=13,320,240,,right]Harry Hill (real name Dr Matthew Keith Hall) is one of the top comedy performers in the UK today, and one of ITV’s highest earners.
Since his first appearance on BBC radio in Harry Hill’s Fruit Corner in 1994, he’s gone from strength to strength, building a tight live routine and becoming immensely popular as the host of TV Burp and breathing new life into the otherwise tired “amusing home videos” format of You’ve Been Framed.
Harry Hill’s TV Burp is immensely funny, with regular gags cleverly woven through the weekly reflections on various TV shows. The series in fact won him two BAFTAs in 2008, and earlier in 2006 Hill picked up two Comedy Awards.
While a quintessentially British comic, Hill has nevertheless appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman a massive 7 times, the appearances by any British comedian except Ricky Gervais. Hill is also multi-talented and has written 3 books; in 2007 he wrote the story “The Further Adventures of the Queen Mum”.
His imminent return to television this Autumn is much-awaited, adding a much-missed aspect of comedy to Saturday nights.
