More details on Hammer documentary confirmed

A new documentary, “Hammer Heroes, Legends and Monsters,” is set to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Hammer Films. Produced by Jamie Anderson of Anderson Entertainment and directed by Benjamin Field, the film will premiere on Sky Arts on October 31st and will also have a special screening at Leicester Square on October 28th.

The documentary features interviews with a range of notable figures in the film industry, including Tim Burton, John Landis, John Logan, John Carpenter, and Joe Dante. It is narrated by the acclaimed actor Charles Dance.

Jamie Anderson, the producer of the documentary, shared his excitement about the project on LinkedIn, stating, “This documentary celebrates the brilliance of Hammers, Heroes, Legends and monsters behind and in front of the camera. And I couldn’t be more proud of the final result.”

For those outside the UK, Kaleidoscope has acquired the worldwide film distribution sales rights for “Hammer Heroes, Legends and Monsters.” This means that the documentary will be available to audiences around the globe.

To further celebrate its 90th anniversary, Hammer Films is also releasing a 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray of a brand-new 4K restoration of Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. This limited collector’s edition 5-disc set will be available for pre-order on October 31st.
