  1. Over the past few months, I’ve started to come around to the idea of a female Doctor, but I still think Jodie Whittaker has been miscast. To me, it’s kind of like casting Alan Davies as James Bond. Just being a capable actor really shouldn’t be the only requirement for a role like this. I was thinking recently Vicky McClure would make a good Doctor. I could see her as being kind of like a cross between McGann and Eccleston, maybe wearing a purple leather jacket and jeans or something. She’d be a much better fit than Whittaker in my view.
