  1. I’m liking the look of Capaldi’s threads the more I see them. I think some of the shots from the back, the filming shots, look quite good. I don’t mind that they’ve gone for a more historical look in the coat and shirt. The trousers and shoes feel more contemporary. I don’t think every new Doctor should dress contemporary just because its the new series and we’re filming in 2014. I also like the lack of a tie this time. Every few Doctors without a tie works: Pertwee didn’t always have a tie, Davison never had one, and then Eccleston.

  2. I agree the Dr didn’t have any kind of neck ware with peter davisons outfit and I did quite like that, the same with ecclestons outfit. The outfit does remind me of pertwee’s era but updated for this dr. I think capaldi will be a more physical in the role with a Gothic theme in the story’s would fit in well with the new threads.

  3. The more I see of it in action, the more I like it. It’s a very sober ensemble though, and I still feel that it could do with a wee pin, or brooch, or something. Maybe some red around the buttonhole or top pocket. I also think his shoes look a bit big.
